What is Tic Tac Quoits (Ring Toss Noughts and Crosses): a fairground skill duel
What if noughts and crosses were played by throwing rings?
Our ring toss noughts and crosses game, Tic Tac Quoits, mixes the classic game of lines with the ring throwing of traditional fairs.
- Head-to-head duel: two people play, one against the other.
- Fairground look: a long red and white striped table with wooden posts at the far end and the header “Tic Tac Quoits – Ring It On!”.
- Easy to grasp: everyone knows noughts and crosses, so there is hardly anything to explain.
- Short games: 1 to 3 minutes each, so the queue moves quickly.
We bring it to Barcelona and all over Spain, with set-up and collection included.

How to play Tic Tac Quoits
It is a turn-based duel, and the rules can be explained in ten seconds:
- Turns: the two players take it in turns to throw their rings at the posts at the far end of the table.
- Landing a ring: each ring that stays on a post marks that position for its player.
- Strategy: as well as landing rings, you must stop your rival completing their line, just like in noughts and crosses.
- Winning: the first player to complete a line with their rings wins.
Tip for the organiser: set up a small knockout tournament and keep a ranking of winners. A prize for the event champion encourages everyone to take part.

Tic Tac Quoits for corporate events, weddings and parties
Because it is a duel, Tic Tac Quoits draws a crowd that watches and cheers, which makes it perfect for any event where people like a bit of friendly competition.
- Games for company parties in Barcelona and across Spain: ideal for team building, staff get-togethers and team dinners, where colleagues challenge each other.
- Fairground game hire for weddings: guests face off while waiting for the banquet or during the cocktail hour, and the couple join in too.
- Fairground games for family days: parents and children compete in a game everyone understands from the first turn.
- Mini fairs for communions, end-of-term parties, town festivals and open-air street parties: one more fairground stall, with a fast-moving queue and games of 1 to 3 minutes.
It works very well as a competitive game for companies, because people gather round the table and create atmosphere without anyone having to lead anything. And since it needs no staff, you can put it wherever you like.
Tic Tac Quoits customised with your brand
We adapt the game's graphics, the header and the board, to your brand image. You can send us your artwork or we can design it in a couple of days. To customise it we need around 2 weeks' notice.
- Brand activation: put your logo on the header and turn the duel into the main attraction of your stand.
- Prizes with merchandising: the winner of each game can take home a gift with your brand on it.
- Stand idea: “Ring It On” with your campaign slogan: whoever wins the duel gets a gift and goes into the day's ranking.
Build your mini fair: combine Tic Tac Quoits with other games
You can hire it on its own or as a bundle with other games from the Mini Fairground Games collection. Mini games come on their own and without staff; if you would rather have a full stand with staff, decoration and prizes, take a look at our Fairground Stalls.
To contrast with this duel, we recommend:
- Star Darts, the fairground dartboard, for pure aim.
- Ball Roll, the skill maze, for a steady hand.
- Froggy Racer, the frog race, for a livelier race.
As a guide, for 100 guests we suggest a bundle of 4 to 6 games.

Frequently asked questions
What is Tic Tac Quoits and how do you play it?
It is noughts and crosses played with rings: two players take turns throwing rings at the posts on a fairground table. The first to complete a line wins. Games last 1 to 3 minutes, so lots of people can play in a short time.
What events can you hire the Tic Tac Quoits ring game for?
Almost any event: company parties, team building, weddings, communions, family days, end-of-term parties, town festivals and street parties. It is a simple duel to understand, so children and adults enjoy it, and the crowd cheers on whoever is playing.
Does it need electricity or any special space?
No, it needs no electricity: it is 100% manual. It can be used indoors or outdoors, although if it rains it should be under cover. It measures about 190 x 70 cm and we recommend leaving 2 x 2 m free. It arrives assembled and is set up in about 20 minutes.
Can it be customised or combined with other fairground games?
Yes. We adapt the header and the board to your brand, with about 2 weeks' notice. You can also hire it with other games from the collection as a bundle, or add a host and prizes. If you want a full stand, take a look at our fairground stalls.
