What is Ring Toss: the classic fairground hoopla game

Who can land a ring on the bull's horns?

Ring Toss (Lanzamiento de Aros in Spanish) is a classic hoopla game played on a free-standing upright board with a bull drawn on it. Players throw the rings and try to land them on its horns.

  • American fairground look: varnished wood and red and white vinyl, with the slogans “Ring Toss – Test Your Skill” and “Step Right Up! & Try Your Luck”.
  • One player per turn: everyone else cheers and the atmosphere builds around the game.
  • Games of 1 to 3 minutes: queues move quickly, even with lots of guests.
  • For all ages: it suits themed events, corporate parties, family days and weddings.

We bring Ring Toss to Barcelona and all over Spain, with transport, set-up and collection included.

How to play Ring Toss

The rules are simple and understood in seconds:

  1. The player stands in front of the bull board.
  2. They receive the rings for their turn.
  3. They throw them one by one towards the board.
  4. Every ring that lands on a horn is a hit.
  5. The turn ends and the next player steps up.

How do you win? The winner is whoever lands the most rings on the bull's horns. If there is a tie, simply repeat the turn. Since only one person plays at a time, it is easy to follow the score and cheer from the sidelines.

Tip for organisers: note the results on a visible leaderboard and give a prize to the best thrower of the event. You will see people coming back for a second go.

Ring Toss for corporate events, weddings and parties

Ring Toss works because everybody understands the game at a glance. Nothing needs explaining, which makes it perfect for mixed audiences.

  • Fairground game hire for weddings: it entertains guests of all ages during the cocktail hour or between courses.
  • Fairground games for family days: families play together and colleagues enjoy some friendly rivalry.
  • Games for company parties in Barcelona: it breaks the ice at team dinners, trade fairs and conferences.
  • Mini fair for first communions: a classic stall for children and grown-ups alike.

It also fits street parties, local festivals, end-of-term parties and fair stalls run by schools, parents' associations and town councils. As games are short, the game never gets clogged.

80 % of our events take place outside Barcelona: Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Vigo… We go wherever you need us.

Ring Toss customised with your brand

We adapt the graphics of the game, the header and the board, to your brand. You send us your artwork or we design it ourselves in a couple of days.

Lead time: customising takes around 2 weeks' notice.

Prizes with your merchandising: at a fairground stall we hand out soft toys or the client's merchandising, either as an instant prize or as points to redeem at the end.

Activation idea: put your logo on the board and offer a branded gift to anyone who lands a ring on the bull. It is a very direct way to draw people to your stand at a trade fair or conference.

Build your mini fair: combine Ring Toss with other games

Ring Toss can be hired on its own or as a set with other games from our Mini Fairground Games collection. They come without staff, already assembled and ready to play.

Want something more complete? Our Fairground Stalls are a full stand with staff, decoration and prizes. Mini games are hired separately; the stall comes fully taken care of.

To contrast the aim of the hoops, we recommend:

Recommended set: for 100 guests, between 4 and 6 games. That way there is always a free stand and queues don't build up.
