What is Ball Roll: the classic fairground zigzag skill maze

Is your hand steady when everyone is watching?

Ball Roll (Skill Maze), also known as Zig Zag, is a skill maze for events: a long game table with a wooden zigzag course that tests coordination and patience.

  • A skill game with a ball: players guide the ball along the course, avoiding the obstacles.
  • Scoring zones: the board shows points (50, etc.) so everyone knows who is winning.
  • One player per turn: the others watch and cheer, and the queue moves quickly.
  • Fairground look: varnished wood, red and white, and the banner “Zig-Zag – Test Your Skill!”.

We bring it to Barcelona and across Spain, with transport, set-up and collection included in the service.

How to play Ball Roll

Imagen

You can grasp it in five seconds, but it is hard to master:

  • The player stands in front of the table and takes the ball.
  • They guide the ball along the zigzag course, keeping control around the obstacles.
  • The further it gets, the better: each scoring zone adds the points shown on the board.
  • The game ends and the next player takes their turn.

How to win: whoever gets the highest score wins. Each game lasts 1 to 3 minutes, so everyone gets to play without a long wait.

Tip for organisers: write the scores on a visible leaderboard and give a prize to the best player of the day. If teams play, add up each member's points: the competition is addictive.

Ball Roll works because everyone understands it and it hooks all ages. One player per turn builds suspense: the others watch, cheer and ask for a rematch.

  • Skill games for companies: it suits conventions, trade fairs, conferences and party games for company events in Barcelona. It breaks the ice between colleagues and clients with no preparation needed.
  • Fairground game hire for weddings: an original touch for the cocktail hour or the wait between courses, entertaining guests of all ages.
  • Fairground games for family days: families compete for the best score, and the little ones learn patience.
  • Mini fair for first communions and end-of-year parties: we set it up alongside other games so there is something for every group.

It is also a great choice for street parties, local festivals and fairground stalls at schools or town halls. It needs no staff, and if you want a host, we can add one.

Ball Roll customised with your brand

We adapt the game's graphics, the header and the board, to your brand. You send us your artwork or we design it in a couple of days. Customisation needs about 2 weeks' notice.

  • A header with your logo and your message instead of the original title.
  • A board in your colours and with your scoring zones.
  • Prizes with your branded merchandising, or soft toys, awarded instantly or as points to redeem at the end.

Idea for your stand: at a trade fair or brand activation, offer a gift to anyone who beats a target score. It is a simple way to draw visitors to the stand and collect contacts while they wait for their turn.

Build your mini fair: combine Ball Roll with other games

Ball Roll can be hired on its own or as a set with other games. In our Mini Fairground Games the games come on their own and without staff; if you prefer a complete stand with staff, decoration and prizes, see our Fairground Stalls.

To contrast with the calm focus of Ball Roll, we recommend:

Recommended set: for 100 guests, 4 to 6 games. That way people spread out and nobody queues for too long.
