What vertical wall dance is

The acrobats hang from the top of a building and dance across the façade, using the wall as their floor. They walk it, jump, push off and spin, dozens of metres above the ground.

It's the most spectacular act in the aerial range and the only one that turns the building into the stage. At night, lit by spots, it's visible across the whole square.

Vertical Facade Dance at a real event

Vertical dance for headquarters openings and company anniversaries

When a company opens a new building or celebrates an anniversary at its own headquarters, the building is the star. Vertical dance literally turns it into the stage of the event: the acrobats dance on the facade, walking, jumping and spinning with the wall as their floor.

  • Opening moment: the act works as the climax of an inauguration, just before the ribbon cutting or the toast.
  • Night-time sets: lit by spotlights, the show can be seen from the whole square and gives the celebration an unforgettable image.
  • Music chosen in advance: the soundtrack is agreed beforehand to match the message of the event.
  • Adjustable format: two acrobats are recommended, although the act can be adapted to a single performer, with sets of about five minutes.

The key is planning. You need a wall at least ten metres high and two 250 kg anchor points on the wall or the roof, confirmed with the owner after a site visit. Our rigging technician supervises the whole installation. If you are preparing the opening of a corporate headquarters, the sooner we talk the better: vertical dance for companies is the show that needs the most lead time.

Where it can be staged

It needs a wall at least ten metres high, with two anchor points rated for 250 kg (working load) either in the wall itself or on the roof. Without that the act can't be staged, and there's no improvising it on the day.

That's why it's the show that needs the most notice: the building has to be visited beforehand and the anchors confirmed with the owner.

Why book vertical dance?

  • It turns the building into the stage: vertical dance on a façade is unlike anything else in the range.
  • Visible across the whole square, above all at night under spots.
  • For openings and civic events where the building is the point.
  • Rigging supervised by our technician throughout.

Performers and running time

Two acrobats are recommended, though the act can be adapted for one. Each set runs about five minutes.

The music is chosen in advance, as with the other aerial shows, and the rig is always supervised by our rigging technician.

What events vertical dance fits

Vertical wall dance fits events with a building as the stage:

  • Openings of buildings and headquarters
  • Civic events and municipal celebrations
  • Town festivals and street festivals
  • Large-format product launches
  • Company anniversaries at their own premises

Vertical dance shows for town halls and brand activations

The building dances

If you plan to hire vertical dance performers, think of the building as your best stage. A vertical dance show for town councils turns the façade of a town hall, museum or headquarters into a living canvas, visible to hundreds of people at once, with no seating stands or staging to build.

In a brand activation the show can dance beside a banner carrying your logo or beneath a projection, and whatever happens on the façade ends up on every phone in the square. For local festivals and street events it is the act that draws the crowd at nightfall. Because a technical site visit is needed first, it is best planned well ahead.

  • Local festivals and fiestas: vertical dance on the town hall façade as the headline night-time act.
  • Urban brand activations: a façade show that stops passers-by and multiplies your social media content.
  • Headquarters openings: unveil your new building with dancers suspended on its own walls.
  • Cultural festivals and museums: aerial dance on a building to open a season or an exhibition.

Vertical wall dance can be booked anywhere in the country: around 80% of our events take place outside Barcelona, in cities such as Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza and Vigo.

It's the show that needs the most notice: the building has to be visited, the two anchor points confirmed with the owner and roof access planned before the date is set.

Frequently asked questions

What is vertical façade dance?

What kind of wall does vertical façade dance need?

It needs a wall at least ten metres high, with two anchor points of 250 kg (working load limit) on the wall itself or on the building's roof. We carry out a technical visit beforehand and confirm the anchor points with the owner; without that it cannot be set up.

How many acrobats perform in vertical façade dance and how long does it last?

We recommend two acrobats, although the act can be adapted to just one. Each set lasts about five minutes and can be repeated during the event. The music is chosen beforehand and the team includes a rigging technician.
