Giant games

The giant Guess Who for events is the classic deduction game scaled up: large panels with portraits that players cross off while asking yes-or-no questions. It suits companies, families, schools and organisers looking for an activity that works for every age without complicated rules. United Events offers it within its catalogue of giant games for events.Lately, social media has shown celebrations abroad using giant versions of this game with portraits of the guests themselves, and clips of the matches are easy to share. It works for a simple reason: everyone understands the game in ten seconds, laughter is guaranteed and spectators take part as much as players. It is also a great icebreaker. When two people who have never met must ask each other questions to guess a character, conversation starts by itself. It brings people together without forcing it.

Over the past months, several entertainment venues and trade events outside Spain have turned a classic arcade machine into their most shared attraction: a giant claw machine where the prize is a person. The guest straps into a harness, gets lifted over a pit full of gifts, and has to time the grab perfectly before the clock runs out. The result on video is instant — surprised faces, screams, applause: exactly what makes a clip share itself. It's no coincidence this format is taking off now: the games that work on social media are the ones that need no explanation and trigger a real physical reaction in seconds. At United Events we already had this in our catalogue: it's called the Human Claw Machine, and it runs on that exact same mechanic, ready for weddings, corporate events and trade fairs.

Over the past few weeks, a fairground classic has been going viral on TikTok all over again: people playing giant bowling, dodging real-size pins and filming themselves missing the shot more often than not. The clips keep piling up, shared mostly because of how unexpected it is to see this show up in the middle of an event that has nothing to do with bowling. The interesting part is that the game itself isn't new — what's viral is the context: seeing it appear where nobody expects it, with people having a great time in front of a handful of giant pins.

At United Events we believe corporate events should go beyond a simple get-together. Our aim is to turn every event into a memorable experience, where fun, interaction and team spirit take centre stage. That is exactly what happened at the corporate event we organised for Glovo, where we turned the space into a spectacular arcade-style games and entertainment zone, fully customised with the brand's look.

For many teams, the company Christmas dinner is the only night of the year when everyone gets together outside the office. When it goes well, people talk about it until the summer; when it is just a set menu and a long sit-down, by eleven o'clock half the room is checking their phones. The difference is rarely the restaurant: it is what happens before, during and after the meal.In this guide we bring together practical ideas to liven up your company's Christmas dinner in Barcelona, from a casino night to karaoke or a Christmas photo booth. We also explain how to organise it step by step, when you should book and which factors affect the budget. Everything we suggest is set up by us, with our own team and our own equipment.
