What corporate ice baths are and how they work
Corporate ice baths mean immersing yourself for two or three minutes in water at 3 to 8 degrees, with an instructor guiding your breathing from outside.
The session doesn't start in the tub. It starts with about fifteen minutes of breathing work on dry land: the instructor explains what's going to happen in the body, teaches how to lengthen the exhale and has the group practise. That part is what separates a controlled experience from a shock.
Then people go in by turns. Each participant decides how long they last and can get out at any moment; the instructor times it and lets nobody overdo it. On getting out, a spell of active recovery on dry land to bring the temperature back up.
Nobody is obliged to get in. In a group of thirty it's normal for twenty to go in, and that's perfectly fine.

What kind of events ice baths suit
Corporate ice bath sessions fit in:
- Corporate wellbeing days, as one station within a circuit.
- Offsites and team retreats with accommodation, best first thing.
- Brand activations in sport, health and nutrition.
- Outdoor summer events, where it also cools people down.
- Convention closings, as a strong parting experience.
It isn't an activity for events with a very mixed or older audience, nor for formats where people are in street clothes with nowhere to change.
Ice bath requirements
To set up an ice bath station at your event we need:
- Outdoor space: around 15 m² per station, on firm, level ground. A terrace, garden, car park or beach.
- Water: a tap or hose within 20 metres.
- Drainage: essential, or a point where we can empty 500 litres without causing problems.
- A changing area: a marquee, a changing room or a nearby indoor space.
- Participants: swimwear and a towel; we bring spare towels.
Contraindications: before anyone goes in, the instructor asks about heart conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, epilepsy and pregnancy. Anyone in those categories doesn't get in; that's non-negotiable and part of the protocol.
Why book ice baths for your company event
Ice baths for corporate events are the most remembered activity of everything we offer, for a simple reason: people do something they thought they couldn't.
It's a short, intense, shared experience. It generates conversation for the rest of the day and, unlike almost any other activity, whoever decides not to get in is still part of it: they usually end up cheering the others on from the side.
It works especially well after a physical activity (running, functional training) or chained with yoga and massages inside a wellbeing day.
Ice bath hire for events and team building in Barcelona
Sub-zero challenge
If you are looking for ice bath hire for events with an instructor and a proper protocol, we take care of everything. A corporate ice bath in Barcelona or anywhere in Spain has become the experience that sparks the most conversation at an offsite: a short challenge everyone lives in their own way.
As a cold water team building activity, it strengthens the group: those who get in feel capable, and those cheering from outside are part of it too. For brand activations in drinks, sport or health, the ice station is a magnet for visitors and cameras alike. And on summer incentives it is the most original way to cool the team down.
- Challenge-based team building: a cold plunge with guided breathing that unites the group around a shared goal.
- Sports brand activations: an ice bath station that draws visitors and generates social content.
- Summer incentive trips: an outdoor cold experience to round off a day of activities.
- Corporate wellbeing circuits: ice baths combined with yoga, massages or functional training.

Corporate ice bath price
In the price of a corporate ice bath session, what counts is the number of tubs and the service hours, more than the number of participants.
Each tub handles about 15 people an hour, adding up changing, prior breathing and the immersion. For a large group, so everyone gets through in a reasonable time, two or three stations run at once.
Ice weighs heavily and variably on the cost: it is calculated per tub and service hour, because it has to be topped up. Tubs, ice, towels, a thermometer and an instructor are always included. Transport outside Barcelona is billed separately.
Setting up the ice bath
Setting up an ice bath station is the longest of all our wellbeing activities: about an hour.
We place the tubs on level ground, fill them from a hose, tip in the ice and wait for the temperature to drop and settle between 3 and 8 degrees. We check with a thermometer before anyone goes in. We also set up the towel area, the changing area and the dry recovery point.
Taking down takes about 45 minutes, mostly for the emptying: each tub holds around 500 litres and it has to be drained in a controlled way to a drain, never onto delicate grass or paving with nowhere to run off.
Booking your ice bath session
To confirm your company's ice bath booking, send us this information:
- Day, start time and total length of the service.
- Exact address (with a photo of the place, if you can) and confirmation of a water supply and a drain.
- How many people are expected, so we know the number of tubs.
- Whether there is room to change or you prefer us to bring a tent.
The booking requires 50% in advance. Well beforehand we send you the contraindications document to hand out to attendees: it is better for everyone to know in advance whether they can get in, rather than finding out at the last minute.
Frequently asked questions
What is a corporate ice bath and how does a session work?
An ice bath is a cold-water immersion in which each participant spends 2 to 4 minutes in water at between 3 and 8 degrees, while a specialist instructor guides their breathing. Beforehand we run about 15 minutes of guided breathing and, afterwards, there is a dry recovery area. Nobody is obliged to get in.
What space and facilities does the ice bath need at my event?
The ice bath needs about 15 m² per tub, outdoors on firm, level ground, with a water tap or hose nearby and a drain. It needs no electricity. We bring the tubs, the ice and the thermometer, and set up in about 60 minutes. A marquee or nearby room for changing is advisable.
How many people can take part in an ice bath?
The ice bath suits 6 to 40 people, who go in by turns of about 20 minutes. A specialist instructor leads the session and, from 14 people, support staff join them. Each participant brings swimwear and a towel, and we provide spare towels.
Is the ice bath safe, and who should not get in?
Yes, the ice bath follows a protocol: we measure the water with a thermometer before anyone gets in, and the instructor monitors everyone's time. It is for adults without medical contraindications only. Anyone with heart problems, uncontrolled high blood pressure, epilepsy or pregnancy does not take part.
Can the ice bath be personalised with my company's logo?
Yes, the ice bath can carry your company's logo on tarpaulins, towels and bathrobes. That way your brand is visible across the whole area and in the event photos. We take care of transport, set-up and collection anywhere in Spain.
