What origami for events is
Origami (折り紙) is the art of folding paper without scissors or glue to create a wide range of figures, many of which could be considered paper sculptures. Strictly speaking, origami is the Japanese branch of paper folding, with its own rules: no cuts, and starting from set bases.
At an event, a specialist artist creates figures live for the guests — butterflies, flowers, frogs, stars, cranes — and exhibits more complex pieces. Origami workshops can also be arranged so guests learn the technique hands-on.
How origami works at events
During the event, the artist folds origami figures live for guests and hands out intermediate-level models they can keep as a memento.
Alongside that, more complex pieces are exhibited to show what the discipline can do. Hands-on workshops can also be run, pitched to the audience and the event format.

Origami at trade fairs, conferences and stands: a keepsake that draws visitors
At a trade show, visitors are handed piles of leaflets and bags. An artist creating live origami figures offers something different: a small handmade object made on the spot that nobody throws away on the way out.
- A quiet draw: watching a sheet of paper turn into a crane or a flower makes people stop at the stand.
- Time to talk: while the artist folds the figure, your team has a few minutes to chat with each visitor.
- A display of complex figures: more advanced models decorate the space and show the artistic side of paper folding.
Figures such as butterflies, frogs, stars and paper birds are handed out as keepsakes. Their discreet, elegant Japanese style suits stands for design, technology, architecture or cultural companies, and conferences where a refined touch is wanted. All it needs is a table: no electricity or special space. The service lasts 2 hours and can be extended with a hands-on paper folding workshop if you wish. We bring it to conferences and trade fairs in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and across Spain.
Why book origami for your event?
- An instant keepsake: every guest takes their paper figure home.
- No rigging: a table is enough; no power or special space needed.
- For all ages: it works as well at a children's event as at a trade fair.
- A hands-on element: the paper folding workshop involves guests rather than just entertaining them.
- A discreet, elegant Japanese setting.

Paper-folding workshop for companies, family days and weddings
Hands on
An origami workshop for companies is one of those simple activities that works better than you would expect: no experience needed, done seated and in groups, and everyone ends up with a figure of their own. Folding paper makes people slow down and focus, which is why it fits so well as an employee wellbeing activity on long days.
At a corporate family day, origami brings parents and children to the same table, without screens or noise, while the artist folds figures on request. As origami for weddings, paper cranes, flowers and stars make a delicate touch for the drinks reception or the children's corner. To hire an origami artist in Barcelona or anywhere in Spain, ask for a quote and we will adapt the format to your audience.
- Wellbeing days: paper folding as a creative, relaxing break for teams at offices, training sessions or conventions.
- Corporate family day: an origami workshop for employees' children and adults sharing the same table.
- Wedding receptions: paper figures made live for guests and a calm activity to keep children entertained.
- Stands and shopping centres: an origami artist handing out figures and keeping visitors close to your brand.

Origami for events price
Tell us what you need and we'll design a proposal for origami at your event. The price varies with the service time, the venue and the extra activities you request, for example workshops where guests join in or special exhibitions. Ask for a no-commitment quote.
Set-up, transport and installation
We handle the whole process so you don't have to worry about a thing:
- Advance planning: we agree the available space and where the working and display table goes.
- Preparation: before the event starts we lay out the materials and the display area.
- Clearing away all the material afterwards.
We handle the organisation and the travel; the service is available in Barcelona and across Spain. The activity needs only a table for folding and displaying the figures.
Booking origami for events
Secure the artist for your event day: the origami booking needs
- 50% of the total, paid beforehand;
- the date and hour;
- the exact address;
- a contact;
- the invoicing details.
With that advance, you get the artist exclusively on the contracted date.
Cancellation: given a justified cause, we look at returning what was paid as agreed, and where possible, changing the date too.
Frequently asked questions
How does the origami workshop for events work?
It is a service with an origami artist who folds paper figures live for your guests, such as butterflies, flowers, frogs, stars and paper bow ties, and displays more complex pieces. We also offer a workshop option: the artist teaches one figure and each group repeats it.
How long does the origami service last and how long does each figure take?
The origami service lasts 2 hours, and can be extended. Each figure takes between 1 and 3 minutes, and every participant takes theirs home with their name written in Japanese. One origami artist runs it, and it suits all ages.
What does origami for events need: electricity, space, furniture?
No, origami does not need electricity. You only need a table and a chair for the artist, indoors or in a covered outdoor area. Set-up and dismantling take 15 minutes each, and we handle transport, set-up and collection anywhere in Spain.
Can the origami be personalised with my company logo?
Yes, we stamp each origami figure with a seal bearing the company logo. Origami paper and card are included. If you would like to add it to your event, request a quote through the form on the page and we will send you a fixed quote.
