Summer

In summer the problem isn't keeping people entertained, it's getting them out of the shade

We run entertainment built for outdoors and real heat: water inflatables that actually cool people down, a mechanical bull that pulls a crowd around it, and slushie and juice carts that keep the queue happy while it waits.

Summer has one advantage no other season has: people want to be outside. The problem is that by four in the afternoon nobody leaves the shade if all there is is a speaker. A water inflatable, a dunk tank or a slushie cart change that: they give people an actual reason to get up, and because they genuinely cool you down, people come back for more instead of trying it once and sitting straight back down.

We work the same way in community pools, private gardens, office rooftops and on the beach. Each venue changes the equipment: no water inflatables on a rooftop without proper drainage, anchoring is different on grass than on concrete, and a mechanical bull on sand needs a base that won't sink in. We decide this together from photos of the space, not on the day.

Heat also dictates the schedule. Between two and five in the afternoon in Barcelona in July and August, anything that demands physical effort empties the floor: people would rather sit at the bar. That's why we recommend concentrating the more active games in mid-morning or at dusk, and leaving midday for whatever you can enjoy sitting down or in the water.

Cools people down for real

Water inflatables and the dunk tank get people properly wet, which is the only thing that competes with air conditioning in August. Works in a pool, a garden with a hose, or straight on the beach.

The mechanical bull never fails

It's the gathering point of any summer party: a spontaneous queue, people cheering from the side, and a video everyone shares on their own. Works just as well at a beach bar as at a corporate party.

Something cold and sweet between games

The slushie cart and the fresh orange juice cart fill midday downtime without needing a dedicated host: people help themselves, chat, and come back to the games whenever they feel like it.

How we set it up

  1. Tell us about the space

Pool, garden, rooftop or beach; whether there's shade, running water and a power point. Photos are enough to start proposing.

  2. We propose the hour-by-hour running order

What runs mid-morning, what runs at midday and what runs at dusk, planned so nobody is left without shade or without something to do.

  3. We check the ground

Anchoring, drainage if there are water inflatables, and distance to a power point. Anything that doesn't work gets changed beforehand, not on the day.

  4. We set up early and pack up as the sun goes down

We arrive before the heat peaks, build with margin, and stay until the end running every activity.

Formats and ideas that work

  • Water inflatables with a slide for pools or gardens
  • Mechanical bull, the classic that always draws a crowd
  • Milkshake bike for a sweet mid-afternoon treat
  • Slushie cart or fresh orange juice cart for midday
  • Dunk Tank to challenge colleagues or family
  • Balance Bike circuit for parties with young children
  • Ball pit as a calm zone for the youngest guests
  • Pool scooters for parties held by the water

When to book and what can be decided at the last minute

In peak season, July and August fill up first: for a weekend party it's worth booking four to six weeks ahead to secure the exact inflatable or mechanical bull you want. Weekdays have noticeably more room.

The final schedule can be adjusted up to a few days out depending on the heat forecast: if a heatwave is announced we move the most active games at no cost. The one thing worth locking in early is the venue and its water access, which is what really determines what can be set up.

Frequently asked questions

Can water inflatables be set up on a rooftop?

It depends on drainage and how much weight the structure can take. We check this from photos and, if needed, the building's technical sheet before confirming; if it isn't feasible we suggest an equally refreshing dry alternative.

Do you need your own water supply?

For water inflatables, yes, a standard garden hose is enough. If the venue doesn't have one we're told in advance so we can bring our own tank.

What happens if it rains or gets too hot?

We reschedule at no cost if we're told with reasonable notice. On extreme heat days we move the more active games to early morning or dusk rather than cancel them.

How much space does the mechanical bull need?

About 6x6 metres of safe clearance around it, including the inflatable mat. On small terraces or rooftops we suggest a reduced-size alternative.

Can it be booked for just the midday hours?

Yes. Many summer events book us only for the busiest window, usually 1pm to 5pm, and the price is adjusted to those hours.
