What the Wings of Isis show is
The Wings of Isis show for events is a fantasy oriental dance inspired by the cult of the Egyptian goddess Isis, seen as protector, mother and wife. In her ancient depictions, Isis appeared with open arms wearing kite wings — a kind of eagle — to bless her followers.
Today, the Wings of Isis dancers bring that thousand-year-old mysticism to your events, wrapping guests in a magical atmosphere and carrying them back to the age of the Egyptian gods. A striking show combining sensuality, elegance and movement.
How the Wings of Isis show works
The dancers use wings made of two semi-transparent semicircular lamé panels, pleated from the centre and joined by a strap around the neck. The wings can be worn open or gathered around the body depending on the moment in the choreography.
The result is a show full of strength, agility and flow: the dancers perform fast turns and wide travelling moves that make the wings look weightless and self-floating, turning the stage into a living picture of Egyptian mythology.
When to schedule the Isis Wings dance at weddings and galas
A show as visual as the Isis Wings works best when it lands at the right moment in the programme. The open wings fill the stage and can be seen from anywhere in the room, so it pays to pick a moment when every guest is watching. These are the options that work best at weddings and gala dinners.
- Dinner entrance: the dancers lead guests or the couple in between the tables and mark the start of the evening.
- Between courses: a short performance in the middle of the room that wakes everyone up without interrupting dinner.
- Opening the dance floor: the oriental dance with wings leads into the party with a highly photogenic moment.
- Finale or surprise: ideal for an anniversary, an opening or the launch of a new project.
As it only needs lighting and sound, the show suits hotel function rooms, country estates, restaurants and outdoor venues. You can choose the music for the choreography and the number of dancers to suit the size of the room. That way the Isis Wings show for weddings fits into the running order without complicated set-ups, in Barcelona and all over Spain.
Why book the Wings of Isis show?
- A history behind it: the dance comes from the cult of Isis, good wife and protective mother, and was danced to prepare women for marriage and fertility.
- Immediate visual impact: the open wings fill the stage and are visible from anywhere in the room.
- Simple logistics: only lighting and sound are needed, with no complex rigging.
- It fits any theme: a fantasy oriental dance that works as well at a wedding as at an Egyptian party.
Egyptian themed party: how to pair the Isis Wings dance
The Isis Wings come from the worship of an Egyptian goddess, so they are the natural centrepiece of an Egyptian themed party or an evening with an oriental feel. Surrounded by consistent styling, the dancers are more than a single act: they become the thread that runs through the whole night. Here are some combinations that work.
- Décor and lighting: gold tones, drapes and warm lighting bring out the shimmer of the lamé wings.
- Music to match: we choose the choreography music with you so it fits the theme of the event.
- Photo corner: after the show, a corner styled in the same look gives guests the picture they all want.
- Other acts: the programme can be rounded off with more dances or entertainment in the same style to keep the night going.
This idea suits themed company dinners, anniversaries, openings and weddings looking for something different. Logistics are simple, because the venue only needs lighting and sound. We arrange oriental dance for events in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and the rest of Spain, coordinating the timing of the performance with the other suppliers.
