What corporate pilates is and how it works
The corporate pilates in Barcelona we offer is mat pilates — on the floor, on a mat, with no machines. That lets us set it up in any room, with no building work or fixtures.
The session works the core (abdomen, lower back and pelvic floor), spinal mobility and posture. The instructor starts with breathing and activation, runs through a series of controlled exercises and finishes with stretches. Everything is done slowly and precisely: this isn't about sweating, it's about moving well.
It's the activity that works best with teams who spend eight hours sitting at a computer, because it goes straight at what that posture damages: neck, shoulders and lower back.

Weekly office Pilates programme for workplace health
A one-off class is enjoyable, but a Pilates course is what really changes your team's posture and wellbeing. A workplace Pilates programme with weekly or fortnightly sessions lets employees learn the exercises, build core control and feel the difference in their backs week after week.
- Consistency: repetition builds postural habits far better than a single session.
- Manageable groups: one instructor comfortably handles up to 30 people, and a second joins for larger groups.
- No facilities needed: mat Pilates, in any room with a smooth floor and enough ceiling height.
- Individual attention: the instructor adapts each exercise to whoever needs it, including people with previous injuries.
It is an easy initiative to include in an occupational health or corporate wellbeing plan, especially for teams who spend long hours at a screen. Before starting, please let us know about any injuries, hernias or pregnancies. We run corporate Pilates in Madrid, Barcelona and across Spain, as a single session or a course over several weeks, with all equipment included.
Corporate pilates requirements
For a pilates class at the office we need:
- Space: around 2.5 m² per participant. Pilates exercises open the arms and legs wider than yoga does, so allow a little more room.
- Floor: level, firm and clean. Sand and uneven grass won't do.
- Height: a ceiling of at least 2.5 m for the overhead arm work.
- Power: not needed.
- Clothing: comfortable and close-fitting; grip socks or bare feet.
We provide a qualified instructor, mats, soft balls, rings and resistance bands. Do tell us in advance if anyone has a hernia, a lower-back injury or is pregnant: the instructor prepares a safe variation for those cases.
Why book pilates for your company event
Pilates for company events has one clear advantage over other wellbeing activities: the effect is felt the same day. People get up off the mat with a loosened back and their posture reset, and that gets a very direct response.
It's also the safest option when the group spans very different ages or there's a history of injury, because all the work is controlled and impact-free.
If your company is building an occupational health plan, pilates is the activity whose investment is easiest to justify: it prevents exactly the complaints that cause the most sick leave in office work.
What kind of events pilates suits
Corporate pilates classes work particularly well in:
- Occupational health programmes with weekly or fortnightly sessions.
- Corporate wellbeing days, alongside massages or mindfulness.
- Long conventions and congresses, as a mid-morning active break.
- Office teams with heavy screen time.
- Company retreats and offsites at country houses or hotels.
It isn't the best choice if you want an icebreaker or something celebratory: for that, the running club, kayaking or any of our team building formats fit better.
Office Pilates for employees in Barcelona, Madrid and across Spain
Healthy backs
Booking office Pilates for employees is one of the easiest wellbeing investments to justify to senior management. We run corporate Pilates in Madrid, Barcelona and across Spain, with an instructor who comes to your room and adapts every exercise to whoever needs it, with no machines and no building work.
If your staff spend long hours sitting down, Pilates classes to prevent back pain make a strong case within your occupational health plan. You can also book it for an incentive or offsite, as a gentle start before meetings, or as part of a wellbeing day alongside other activities. Ask for a quote and we will suggest the format that fits best.
- Occupational health programmes: weekly Pilates for office teams who spend hours at a screen.
- Offsites in rural hotels: a morning Pilates session before the working meetings begin.
- Corporate wellbeing days: Pilates combined with mindfulness or massages on the same day.
- Teams with long shifts: a midweek Pilates class to release tension in necks and shoulders.

Corporate pilates price
The cost of a corporate pilates class is worked out just like yoga, using the same four factors: participants, duration, instructors and travel.
Group size is where the difference shows. One pilates instructor copes well with a maximum of 30 people, fewer than in yoga, because each person's posture has to be corrected. Beyond that a second instructor joins and the quote goes up.
Recurring bookings work out clearly cheaper per session than one-offs. Send us the date, headcount and address and we will give you a fixed price, no commitment.
Setting up the pilates session
Setting up a pilates session at the office takes about 30 minutes.
We lay the mats with enough lateral space to open arms and legs, set the small equipment (balls, rings and bands) beside each place, and mark the instructor's position so everyone can see them without turning.
If the room has mirrors, we face the rows towards them: it helps enormously for each participant to correct their own posture. Afterwards we disinfect the mats and equipment and leave the room as it was in about 20 minutes.
Booking your corporate pilates session
If you want to book pilates for your company, tell us the following:
- Day, time and duration.
- Address and type of room, with approximate measurements if you know them.
- Participants, flagging any injuries, hernias or pregnancies.
- A single session or a cycle of several weeks, as you prefer.
We confirm availability in under 24 working hours, and the booking is closed with 50% in advance. For recurring contracts we invoice monthly, and a specific session can be cancelled with 48 hours' notice.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of pilates do you offer for companies?
We offer mat pilates, that is, on the floor on a mat, without machines, so we can set it up in any room. The session works the abdomen, lower back, pelvic floor, spinal mobility and posture, led by a qualified instructor, for 45 to 60 minutes.
What space does corporate pilates need?
It needs about 2.5 m² per participant, a smooth, firm, clean floor (sand or uneven grass will not do) and a ceiling of at least 2.5 m. No electricity is required. We provide mats, soft balls, rings and elastic bands.
Can someone with an injury or who is pregnant do pilates?
Yes, the pilates instructor prepares a safe variation for injuries or pregnancy. Please let us know beforehand if anyone has a hernia, a lower-back injury or is pregnant. No previous experience is needed and the level adapts to the group.
How many people can take part in a corporate pilates session?
One instructor comfortably leads between 8 and 30 participants, because each person's posture needs correcting. Setting up corporate pilates takes about 30 minutes and taking down about 20. For a larger group, we add a second instructor, which is something to bear in mind when you ask for a quote.
What events is corporate pilates ideal for?
It is ideal for workplace health programmes, wellbeing days, active breaks at conferences and teams who spend many hours sitting. It is not the best choice as an icebreaker or a very festive activity. We work from Barcelona and travel anywhere in Spain.
