What Team Robotics is

A team building format growing fast worldwide: teams design, build and program small robots from straightforward kits.

They then put them to the test in a challenge or a friendly "battle" between teams, on a course set to the group's level.

How Team Robotics works

Here's how Team Robotics works, step by step:

  • Each team receives a robotics kit with parts and instructions.
  • Technical facilitators guide the build step by step.
  • Where the group's level allows, basic movement programming is added.
  • At the end, the robots face off on a course or challenge of speed, endurance or precision.

Challenge ideas for the final robot battle in robotics team building

The moment everyone is waiting for comes at the end: the robots each team has built take to the track. Getting that robot battle right is what turns the workshop into a memorable competition, full of cheers, nerves and celebrations.

  • Speed test: the robots race round the track and the first to cross the line without leaving the course wins.
  • Precision challenge: robots must stop on an exact spot or follow a line, and every centimetre counts.
  • Endurance test: the robots face a demanding course and the one that lasts until the end wins.
  • Team roles: builder, programmer and strategist, so every person plays a part in the result.

The track is designed around the group's level, so the challenge is demanding for technical profiles and accessible for anyone who has never coded. A tech team building activity like this delivers a tangible, competitive result, and the prize-giving for the winning teams ends the session on a high. It works as an innovation activity at conventions in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and across Spain, with our technical facilitators guiding every stage.

Requirements and format

  • One robotics kit per team, with parts and instructions.
  • Technical facilitators guiding the build and the programming.
  • A room with work tables and power sockets for laptops and charging the robots.
  • A closing course or challenge based on speed, endurance or precision.
  • Adjustable level: accessible to non-technical profiles.

Robotics for non-technical teams: integration and onboarding at work

One of the strengths of this format is that no engineering knowledge is required. Robotics for non-technical teams puts sales, admin, marketing or HR in front of a challenge that is new to everyone, and that levels the group from the very first minute.

  • New starters: during onboarding, building a robot together speeds up trust between people who have only just met.
  • Cross-office integration: mixing sites or departments in each team creates connections that last beyond the event.
  • Logical thinking: problem-solving is practised in a playful format, without heavy theory.
  • Constant guidance: the facilitators support the build step by step, so nobody gets left behind.

Basic movement programming is added only if the group's level allows it, so the experience adapts to each workforce. This integration team building fits perfectly into welcome days, kick-offs and training activities linked to digitalisation. All we need is a room with tables and power sockets, and we run it in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and any city in Spain.

Why choose Team Robotics?

  • It develops technical and logical thinking in a format non-engineers can follow.
  • It builds collaboration on precision and assembly work.
  • It introduces programming and innovation concepts through play.
  • It produces a tangible, competitive result at the end.
  • It pairs well with innovation or digital transformation events.

What companies Team Robotics suits

Team Robotics fits many company event formats:

  • Technology companies and R&D departments
  • Conventions focused on innovation
  • Integration events for technical teams
  • Training activities tied to digitalisation

Robotics workshop for companies: a tech team building experience

Build, code, win

A robotics workshop for companies is part childhood game and part engineering challenge, and that mix hooks very different profiles. As tech team building, it gets sales, finance and developers working side by side towards a shared goal, with tangible results in just a few hours of play.

At digital transformation events, it works as an innovation activity for companies that brings programming concepts down to earth. The final robot battle for corporate events adds excitement and a clear winner. Tell us the number of participants and their technical level, and we will adapt the kits and challenge complexity.

  • Digital transformation days: a hands-on activity that brings coding closer to the whole workforce.
  • R&D departments: a technical team challenge with a final speed or precision circuit.
  • Innovation-focused conventions: a robot battle as a competitive, memorable event finale.
  • Mixed non-technical teams: an accessible robotics workshop that encourages collaboration across areas.

Team Robotics price

Every event is different, so the price to hire the Team Robotics session is determined by the length of the event, how many kits are needed and how complex the programming is. Ask us for a bespoke quote, with no strings attached.

Set-up and hire across Spain

Team Robotics can be organised anywhere in the country: around 80% of our events take place outside Barcelona, in cities such as Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza and Vigo.

We bring the kits, the tools and the final course; a room with tables and power sockets at the client's premises is enough.

Booking Team Robotics

Paying 50% upfront by invoice is what locks in the Team Robotics session for your event. By email, tell us:

  1. Date and hour of the celebration.
  2. Complete address plus a contact person.
  3. Expected number of attendees.
  4. Tax information for invoicing.

Cancellation: if you cancel for justified reasons, we will look at a refund under the agreed terms.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Team Robotics team building activity and how does it work?

Each team receives a robotics construction kit and designs, builds and, if the group's level allows, programs a small robot with the help of technical facilitators. At the end, the robots face each other in a battle or race on a circuit.

Do you need to be technical to take part in the Team Robotics activity?

No, the level of Team Robotics is adaptable and accessible to non-technical people. The included technical facilitators guide the build step by step, and teams of 3 to 5 people work together, with no physical effort, until the challenge is complete.

What room and electricity does Team Robotics need?

It needs a room with tables and power sockets for laptops and for charging the robots. We bring one kit per team, the tools and the final circuit. Set-up takes 1 hour and take-down 45 minutes, for groups of 8 to 120 people.

Can Team Robotics be customised to the company's theme?

Yes, the challenge and the circuit can follow the company's own theme, so the activity feels tailored to your brand. Team Robotics lasts 2 to 3 hours, takes place indoors and can be run in Spanish, English or Catalan, anywhere in Spain.
