Giant Games for Parties and Fairs

Giant games for events

The same game everyone grew up with, just big enough that you have to stand up and play it as a group

We set up up to 14 classic games at giant scale -chess, Connect 4, Jenga, Plinko, sumo, tangram and more- for trade fairs, team building, weddings and company parties, indoors or outdoors.

A giant game solves the same problem as a casino table from a different angle: instant nostalgia plus a surprise factor, with zero instructions needed because everyone already knows the base rules, just scaled up. It's one of the easiest ways to mix generations at an event: grandparents and grandchildren end up playing Connect 4 at the same oversized board.

Not every giant game asks the same of a guest. Chess, Connect 4 and tangram are calm, table-style games that reward a bit of thinking and work well seated or standing around a low table. Buzz Wire, the human claw machine, the human hamster wheel, Bumper Balls and sumo are physical and active, and draw a crowd that wants to move and compete, usually with an audience cheering from the side.

Space and staffing vary a lot between the two families. A giant Jenga fits in a corner with almost no setup, while a sumo ring or Bumper Balls need several square metres and, for safety, a trained member of staff running the game -included whenever the activity calls for it.

They're especially useful for the dead time at any event: the wait before a wedding ceremony starts, a coffee break at a trade fair, or the moment children get bored during the reception. Because nobody needs the rules explained, guests drift in and out of a giant game on their own, with no need for someone to run the activity from start to finish.

  • 14classic games available at giant size
  • 0instructions to learn - everyone already knows how to play
  • 24 hquote turnaround
  • Indoor/outdoorfits almost any space

The game they already know, just bigger

No instructions needed: it's the same rules Connect 4, chess or Jenga always had, just at a size that means crouching down or teaming up to play.

Two different paces

From the calm of giant chess or tangram to the physical energy of the hamster wheel, human claw or sumo: pick according to the mood you're after.

Fills the dead time

Perfect for the wait before a ceremony, a trade fair coffee break, or the moment children get restless at a wedding.

How we set it up

  1. Tell us about the event

Guest count, type of crowd (families, corporate, children) and whether the space is indoor or outdoor.

  2. We choose the line-up

A mix of giant table games and giant physical games based on the space and the mood you want.

  3. We check the space needed

Each game asks for a different footprint; we measure beforehand so none of them feel cramped.

  4. We set up and, where needed, run the game

Set-up included, plus a trained member of staff for the games that require one (sumo, Bumper Balls, human claw).

Formats and ideas that work

  • Giant chess and Connect 4 corner in a wedding's cocktail area while photos are being taken
  • Knockout giant Jenga tournament at a company after-office
  • Sumo ring as the centrepiece of a street event or trade fair
  • Human hamster wheel and human claw machine as a photo spot for brand activations
  • Ball pit and Bumper Balls for the kids' area at a wedding or christening
  • Giant Plinko with company prizes at a trade fair stand
  • Giant Guess Who as a team-building icebreaker
  • A circuit of several giant games spread across the garden of a private event

The trick isn't fitting in all 14 games, it's picking the ones that suit the space and the crowd

The common mistake is cramming too many games into too little space, or choosing only physical games, which tire guests out and need several monitors at once, or only table games, which can feel flat for a younger or more active crowd.

That's why we almost always recommend a mix: one or two calm table games plus one physical game with real space around it, adjusted to whether the event is a family wedding, a corporate team building or a public street event.

Frequently asked questions

Do they need explaining?

No, they're the same rules as always at XXL size; anyone who already knows how to play Connect 4 or chess plays exactly the same way.

How much space do they need?

It varies a lot, from 2m² for giant Jenga to several metres for a sumo ring; we ask for the floor plan and headcount to fit them in properly.

Do they need staff?

The giant table games don't, but the physical-contact ones (sumo, Bumper Balls, human claw, hamster wheel) do, with a trained monitor included for safety.

Do they work outdoors?

Yes, most are designed for a garden, street or marquee; a few more delicate ones are best kept under cover.

How many games can we combine?

As many as fit the space available - there's no fixed limit, though we recommend mixing table games with physical ones.
