What is comedy magic?
Comedy magic is a show in which the magician is also a comedian: the tricks work, but what you hear most in the room is laughter. Amazement and laughs take turns, and volunteers from the audience end up as part of the show.
It is the easiest kind of magic to fit into a party: it does not need total silence or a particularly attentive audience, because the humour carries everyone along, even those who arrive saying they do not like magic.
Comedy magic at conventions and conferences: a break between sessions
After hours of talks and presentations, attention in any room starts to drop. A comedy magic show is the perfect way to recharge the audience's energy: the comedian magician mixes tricks that work with gags that make everyone laugh, and the room switches back on.
- A break between sessions: a moment to unwind with the audience seated and facing the same way, exactly what this kind of show needs.
- Colleagues in the spotlight: volunteers come from the room itself, and seeing a director or a colleague on stage is talked about for the rest of the conference.
- End of the day: before dinner or drinks, the humour leaves attendees on a high.
- Tailored tone: we talk to the artist beforehand to adjust the show to the audience, more formal or more daring depending on the occasion.
All that is needed is a visible area for the artist and, depending on the size of the room, lighting and sound. We bring comedy magic for conventions to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and the rest of Spain. A conference magician who makes people laugh is one of the best ways to lift a group's morale.
How it is organised
Comedy magic is a stage show: it needs a moment in the event when people are seated and looking the same way, such as after dinner or the break between dinner and dancing.
The performer needs a visible area and, depending on the show and the size of the room, lighting and sound. The exact length and requirements are agreed when the show is confirmed.
