What is the Bocca della Verità and how does it work?
The Bocca della Verità is the famous marble mouth in Rome: according to legend, it bites the hand of anyone who lies. Bocca della Verità hire for events turns that legend into an arcade machine: each guest puts a hand in the mouth and instantly receives an oracle or fortune message.
For the event the machine is set up in Free Play mode : no need to insert coins or tokens, guests can try their luck as many times as they like.
How it works, step by step
- The guest approaches the machine and puts a hand inside the statue's mouth.
- The sensor detects the hand and activates the oracle reading.
- The machine prints a ticket with the prediction or fortune message.
- The guest takes the ticket away as a souvenir.
It is a very intuitive experience, accessible to all ages.
Why hire the Bocca della Verità?
It is something different: few guests have seen a Roman oracle turned into an arcade machine. It works in Free Play mode, without constant staff, and the marble face together with the gesture of putting a hand in are guaranteed content for photos and social media. It can also be customised with your company logo on the machine or on the printed ticket itself.
What type of events is it ideal for?
The Bocca della Verità arcade fits corporate events and brand activations, fairs and conferences, weddings and private celebrations, Roman, Italian or mystery-themed parties, team building and kick-offs, and also bars, restaurants and leisure venues.
