What does drone racing involve?

Drone racing is more than just a competition; it is an exciting combination of technique, strategy and camaraderie. As this sport keeps growing worldwide, more and more enthusiasts are joining the community, eager to experience the adrenaline of flying on challenging courses. If you are looking for a sport that blends speed, skill and a passionate community, drone racing is the perfect choice!

Every competition is a vibrant mix of technical skill and pure excitement. Pilots face complex courses, designed with tight turns, gates and three-dimensional obstacles, where precision and speed are essential.

The courses are designed to offer unique challenges:

  • Tight turns: They require exceptional control; pilots must anticipate the trajectory and adjust their speed.
  • Gates: Set at different heights and angles, they force pilots to manoeuvre the drones with great skill.
  • Three-dimensional obstacles: They challenge pilots to fly in multiple directions.

Technical specifications of the drones

The technical specifications are key to guaranteeing an exciting experience, especially with large groups:

  1. Obstacles: Adjustable gates, tight turns and three-dimensional elements.
  2. Timing system: Automatic, with digital screens showing times in real time.
  3. Take-off area: Dedicated space for drones to take off and land.
  4. Safety: Protective nets and clear signage of the rules.
  5. Lighting: LED for night events, increasing visibility and atmosphere.
  6. Capacity: Designed to hold several pilots at the same time.
  7. Easy setup: Quick assembly system, in approximately one hour.
  8. Additional accessories: Camera and live streaming options for spectators.

How do you play the drone course?

During take-off, pilots place their drones in the designated area and, after a countdown, start flying. As they progress along the course, they must navigate through several obstacles, which may include gates, raised hoops, tight turns and three-dimensional elements that require changes of altitude and direction. Each pilot's timing is recorded by an automatic system, showing the times on screen at the end of the race so participants can compare them. Once they complete the course, pilots land their drones in the designated area, taking care to avoid damage, and the final times are collected to recognise and reward the best pilots.

Depending on the format of the competition, pilots may have several rounds to improve their times. After each race, it is common for them to analyse their performance and adjust their strategies for the next rounds. To maximise their performance, pilots are advised to practise regularly, study the course by looking at it from ground level to identify the best routes, and stay calm, as concentration is key to making precise manoeuvres and avoiding mistakes.

Drones para eventos

What audience or events is our course aimed at?

1. Corporate events: Drone courses are an excellent option for team building activities. Employees can take part in friendly races that encourage collaboration and team spirit. Through competition, teams learn to communicate better, solve problems together and develop strategies. In addition, the adrenaline of flying drones helps break the ice and create a more relaxed and fun atmosphere.

2. Fairs and festivals: At fairs and festivals, a drone course can attract a wide audience. Being an interactive activity, it invites attendees to test their skills, which can increase the time they spend at the event. In addition, a live drone racing show can draw crowds and create a festive atmosphere, turning the event into a memorable experience.

3. Birthdays and celebrations: For birthdays, especially for lovers of technology and adventure, a drone course is an original way to celebrate. You can organise competitions between guests, adding an exciting element to the party. In addition, the courses can be customised to suit different age groups, making sure everyone, from children to adults, has the chance to take part and have fun.

4. School events: Drone courses can be used in school activities to teach about technology and robotics. Competitions can be organised between classes, which is not only fun but also encourages hands-on learning. Science fairs also benefit from a drone course, attracting students and parents interested in science and technology.

5. Community activities: At community events, a drone course can serve as a focal point of entertainment. This helps foster social cohesion, as people of different ages and backgrounds can come together in the competition. In addition, workshops on drone piloting can be organised, adding educational value to the event.

6. Competitions and tournaments: Organising a drone tournament can attract flying enthusiasts and offer a platform for pilots to show off their skills. These events can create a competitive atmosphere, with prizes and recognition for the best pilots, which encourages participation and skill development. Tournaments can also be streamed live, increasing visibility and attracting a wider audience.

7. Technology exhibitions: At technology fairs, a drone course can showcase innovations in the field of drones and robotics. This not only attracts technology enthusiasts but can also capture the attention of investors and industry professionals. Offering live demonstrations of the drones' capabilities can generate great interest and business opportunities.

Is it easy to complete the drone course?

Our drone courses are designed to be an exciting mix of challenge and fun. At first glance they may look complicated, but this complexity is what makes them such a rewarding experience for pilots. Each course includes a variety of obstacles, such as gates, hoops and three-dimensional elements, which not only make the route visually appealing but also test the pilots' manoeuvring and control skills.

Despite the complexity, flying our courses is above all a fun experience. The thrill of facing a new challenge and overcoming obstacles while improving your piloting skills is what keeps enthusiasts coming back again and again. Every lap of the course is an opportunity to learn something new and enjoy the personal growth that comes with it

How long does it take to set up the drone course?

Setting up the drone course is simple, but it requires proper planning. The estimated installation time is approximately one hour. This time includes installing each of the obstacles, which needs time to make sure they are properly positioned and secured. In addition, after setting everything up, it is usual to make some adjustments and tests to make sure the drones are in place and ready to take off. And, of course, if interruptions or distractions arise, that can also lengthen the process.

It is important to factor this time into the organisation of the event to make sure everything is ready before the guests arrive. In addition, setup time does not include transport, so we recommend coordinating the logistics well in advance to avoid any delays.

Are technicians or hostesses needed for the drone course?

Although drone races do not require specialised technical staff for basic operation, having a team of hostesses and coordinators is highly recommended, especially at large-scale events. This team not only ensures that everything runs smoothly but also enriches the experience of all participants.

  1. Guidance and assistance: Hostesses and coordinators play a key role in explaining the rules of the competition and helping pilots with the initial setup of the drones. Their presence ensures that all participants understand how to get involved in the race effectively, removing any confusion.
  2. Smooth and positive experience: At corporate or promotional events, where the goal is to offer a memorable experience, this support is vital. The guides make sure attendees enjoy a smooth experience, making every part of the event run without problems.
  3. Easier organisation: The presence of moderators helps keep the event organised. With a support team, drone races can run without interruptions, letting every pilot feel supported and ready to give their best.

How long does our course last?

On our drone courses, the duration of each race is approximately 5 minutes. Although this time may seem short, it is packed with challenges that keep pilots on the edge of their seats. Every race becomes an intense experience, where concentration and skill are key.

During those 5 minutes, pilots must face a variety of obstacles designed to test their skill and control. The courses usually include tight turns, which require precise and quick manoeuvres. Every turn is a challenge that demands not only speed but also excellent coordination to avoid any collision.

In addition, there are gates and hoops that pilots must fly through, adding a precision component to the race. Passing through these elements is not only a test of control, but also requires pilots to plan their movements in advance, choosing the best line to optimise their time.
