The plush toy vending machine is a skill game, one of the plush-grabbing games where the aim is to pick up teddy bears with a crane claw controlled by a joystick.

Plush crane games are set up so that toys can be won easily without inserting money. The difficulty level is the lowest (although winning a prize is not guaranteed) and, to play a game, a button has been added to insert credits, so the customer does not need to put in coins.

The plush toy crane does not need coins, as it is designed for trade fairs, conferences or corporate events that want to give away plush toys. For that reason it does not work with coins, and to start the game you only have to press the start button.

At the top, the machine has a crane that moves with a two-axis joystick, forwards and backwards and left and right.

With that joystick the guest positions the crane right above the spot where they want to pick up a plush toy and then presses the red button on the joystick to lower the crane that picks up the plush toys.

If the crane grabs the plush toy, it will pick it up and move it to the machine's exit hatch so the player can collect their prize. If it does not grab any prize, the crane returns to its starting point.

The player has approximately 20 seconds to play. If that time runs out, the crane will lower to pick up whatever is underneath it.

The claw plush toy machine is designed to promote a brand or offer gifts to an audience you need to attract, which makes it ideal for trade fairs, product launches, conferences or brand promotions.

As it takes a little skill to win the prize, the audience segment recommended by the manufacturer is from 8 to 70 years old.

There is no gender distinction with this product, although you can lean towards one gender or another depending on the prizes placed inside, which makes them great plush-grabbing games.

The difficulty level of the plush toy grabbing machine can be adjusted. We already have it set to the lowest difficulty, since even so a prize cannot always be won, but it can be made harder if you wish, so that the machine grabs and releases toys with more difficulty.

It also depends a lot on the type of prize you want to offer, as a small plush toy is not the same as a larger or heavier one.

The ideal size is around 15cm with a weight of less than half a kilo.

United Events specialises in games and shows for events. To obtain the prizes for the vending crane there are many merchandising customisation companies, such as personalised teddy bears, that can offer great deals when you want a large quantity of bears, so we recommend getting the bears from specialised companies in order to fill the machine with personalised plush toys.

We can also source the bears for the machine, but in that case we would need more than 1 month's notice to arrange it and payment of 100% in advance.

The crane does not take long to set up, 15 minutes would be enough, although you also need to allow for the time to get it from our van to the place where the vending crane is to be installed.

You must be able to provide direct access without stairs from our van to the event venue, since the toy grabber games are very heavy and we move them with a hand truck.

With the games for picking up and winning plush toys you do not need to hire staff. Once it is installed we offer 24/7 support to resolve any questions by phone, or if the event venue is in Barcelona we can also attend on site if necessary.

Promotional staff are not necessary although they are recommended to guide guests in using the machine and then steer them, after the gift, towards our interests regarding the product or corporate brand.

Basically you need electricity with a standard 220v plug and a flat surface to rest on. If you wish to move the crane once installed there is no problem, since the machine has built-in wheels and can be moved easily.

We carry the crane from the van to the event venue with a hand truck, so a clear space without stairs is needed to transport it.

Time needed to book the Plush Toy Crane Hire

To book the machine we need a 50% deposit in advance, and we advise requesting it early so the date can be blocked.

If customisation of the machine is needed, a minimum of 2 weeks would be required.

If we have to take care of customising the teddy bears, we would need more than a month for production and choosing the product.

How to book the Plush Toy Crane Hire

To block the date for the machine, 50% of the final price of the product is needed, and at that moment it is booked.

To make this booking we need an invoice including all the details of the event with the bank account number, so we need you to send us the following data by e-mail:

• Time/Day of setup of the  plush toy grabbing games
• Time/Day of the start of the event
• Name of the contact for when we arrive at the event venue
• Phone number of the contact for when we arrive at the event venue
• Exact location of the event
• Tax details so we can invoice the client

Can the booking be cancelled once the date has been blocked?

We use the booking to block this date for you and not for another company, so unless the reason is beyond the control of the event organisation, the deposit would be lost.

100% of the booking will be refunded if it rains when the crane was to be placed outdoors, or if the whole event is cancelled.

The price of the vending crane will depend on the number of days it is hired for, not on the number of hours.

It will also depend on whether the machine is customised or we take care of buying the plush toys.

Transport, delivery and installation are free in Barcelona and surrounding areas.

For the installation of the crane we need the contact phone number of the person in charge to tell us where to place the product, and the exact location of the event venue.

It is also necessary to agree a time slot when we can come to install the product.

Most of the games we install are outside Barcelona, in places such as Madrid for example.
