Candy Floss Cart Hire

The candy floss cart is a machine operated by one of our staff, who makes coloured candy floss around a 40 cm wooden stick.

The candy floss machine hire consists of two metal supports and 2 wheels for handling. On the right side it has a bar to push it and move it wherever it is needed, and on the left side some holes in which to place different types of candy floss in the shape of a cone. As mentioned above, we put it on 40cm wooden sticks, and these sticks are then placed on a vertical candy floss holder.

The candy floss is cooked in a 52 cm diameter bowl with a power of 1,200W, producing portions in 30 to 60 seconds each.

The cart has a dome over the surface of the bowl to protect its interior from possible germs, dirt or other contaminants.

The whole set-up is operated by our staff, who are used to handling mini-catering food such as candy floss, always with the main aim of putting a smile on every attendee's face.

Once the candy floss cart for weddings or parties is installed, our staff will start making candy floss and place it on the vertical holder right next to the machine.

We can make one portion every 30 – 60 seconds, of about 12-18 g of sugar, so the stand could be full if nobody asks for or takes any candy floss stick in 15 minutes; once full, it would stop until a new request.

These examples assume the machine works without breaks, making one candy floss after another. They are not real cases, because at events there are normally moments when more are requested and moments when fewer are, depending on each particular event.

The difference in time may be due to different factors, such as customers asking the operator different questions, or the operator themselves: some operators have much more practice and others less.

Setting up this candy floss machine is absolutely simple as it is divided into three parts: the candy floss cart, the anti-bacterial dome and the candy floss machine.

The time it takes is basically the time needed to carry it from our van to the point of the event where it is to be installed; once installed, it can easily be moved to another place.

We have staff available with a food handler's certificate. If you wish, we can provide our own staff, or the staff can be deducted from the price.

Using the candy floss machine is very simple, and for a small private party you can even collect the machine from our warehouse and return it once it has been used.

We have a wide variety of colours to choose from. We normally bring different colours to events and the operator combines them or makes specific colours as customers request.

We can also bring just one specific flavour or colour; these candy floss flavours and colours are the most requested at events and parties.

In terms of space, it does not need a very large area for use, approximately 100x200cm. (Length x Width) although we could adapt it to place only the 52 cm diameter bowl; each case would need to be looked at if there is not enough space.

As a technical requirement we would need electrical power, a standard 220v socket like the ones we have at home for plugging in any household appliance, for a power of 1,200 W.

The candy floss cart itself has a 120cm power cable, so we would need a socket less than 120cm away. If there is none within 120cm there is no problem, but we would need to know in advance so that we can bring enough extension leads to reach the nearest socket.

We must take into account that the candy floss cart weighs about 20kg, which is not much, but it should be considered in case the floor is extremely fragile.

The candy floss machine gives off no smoke whatsoever, so no extractor is needed and it can be used indoors without any concern.

The candy floss making machine hire has a front panel on which the company logo can be placed or which can be customised for a birthday or whatever you wish.

The customisation size is 32.5x30cm (Width x Height) and it is located right below the bowl of the candy floss machine.

Booking time needed

To hire a candy floss cart in Barcelona or Madrid we recommend booking a couple of weeks in advance. If the cart is available the day before the event there is no problem, but if on the day you want the candy floss cart, we already have it booked for another event, we could not offer it, so we do advise booking the machine a couple of weeks in advance.

We have a total of 6 candy floss carts for hire available across Spain, so if you want more than one there is no problem, but we would need time beforehand to gather them as they are spread between Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.

Candy floss cart hire Cancellation Policy

• If the event needs to be cancelled due to force majeure, the credited amount of the booking will be kept so that the event can be moved to another day.
• If we have already arrived at the event, a cancellation will be charged as a complete candy floss cart hire service.
• Once booked, it can be changed for another product at no extra cost; only the price difference will be paid.
• If the event has been cancelled due to force majeure and graphics or customisations have been made for this event, these customisations will have to be credited.
