What is the arm wrestling table game?
A strength table for playing the classic arm wrestling games is a device designed for two rivals to compete in a test of strength. With a sturdy surface, elbow rests and a central grip, players push their arms down, trying to bring the opponent's arm to the table. The winner becomes the king of the table, defending their title against other challengers in exciting duels. Each victory adds to their winning streak, creating a competitive and social atmosphere where other players try to challenge them and seize the throne. This dynamic not only measures strength, but also encourages fun and camaraderie among the participants.
How does the strength table work?
The strength table is a device designed for two competitors to face off in an exciting test of strength using their arms. Each player sits opposite the other and rests their elbow on a sturdy surface to ensure stability. In the centre of the table there is a grip that both use to start the duel. When the start signal is given, each competitor pushes the opponent's arm downwards, trying to get their hand to touch the table. During the bout, indicators can be used to measure each player's effort. The player who manages to bring the opponent's arm to the table is the winner and must defend their title against new challengers, creating a competitive and exciting atmosphere.
What types of events is this game hire suited to?
The strength table can be included in many types of events, offering a unique and exciting experience. Here are some of the best options:
- Fairs and Festivals: At this type of event, the strength table attracts a wide audience and provides interactive entertainment. Attendees can test their skills, which encourages participation and fun. It also becomes a meeting point where people can enjoy the thrill of the duels and socialise.
- Sports Competitions: The strength table is ideal for events related to wrestling, martial arts or strength sports. It can be integrated as an additional challenge, allowing athletes to show their power and technique. This not only adds variety to the competition, but also attracts spectators.
- Parties and Get-togethers: At celebrations such as birthdays, family gatherings or events with friends, the strength table adds a fun and competitive element. It is an excellent way to break the ice and liven up the guests, generating laughter and memorable moments.
- Corporate Events: In a business context, the strength table can be used in team buildingactivities. It encourages teamwork and interaction between employees, allowing colleagues to get to know each other better while competing in a friendly way. This can improve the work atmosphere and strengthen interpersonal relationships.
- Conferences and Conventions: During these events, the strength table offers an active break between talks and presentations. This activity attracts attendees' attention, letting them relax and disconnect a little from the more serious content, while having fun and engaging with other participants.
- Charity Events: The strength table can be an effective tool for raising funds. By organising duels and competitions, the public can be encouraged to take part through donations, turning the activity into a fun and appealing way to contribute to a good cause.
- Tournaments and Championships: You can organise specific competitions in which participants face each other in strength duels. This not only generates excitement among the competitors, but also attracts an enthusiastic audience that enjoys watching the challenges and supporting their favourites.
How many players can play?
On a strength table, typically two players can play at the same time, as the game format is based on a head-to-head duel between them. However, at a larger event , multiple matches can be organised on different tables, allowing several duels to take place simultaneously. This makes competition possible among many participants, creating a dynamic and exciting atmosphere. In addition, tournaments can be set up where the winners of each duel advance to the next round, which adds an extra competitive element and increases the fun for everyone involved.
How long does a game last?
The duration of a game on a strength table can vary depending on the game format and the skill of the participants. In general, a typical game lasts between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. However, in a more formal tournament or competition , the duration may be longer, as each duel may be part of a series of matches. The time can also vary if specific rulesare applied, such as extra rounds or challenges. In any case, the aim is to keep up the excitement and the pace, making sure all participants have fun.
Can the difficulty level be changed on the strength table?
On a strength table, the difficulty level of the game can be adjusted in various ways to suit different players. One option is to change the arm position, placing one player's elbow closer to the centre of the table, which makes it harder. The start timecan also be varied, having one player start with a slight delay to add an extra challenge. Changing the type of grip the players use affects the technique and difficulty of the duel. In addition, introducing additional rules, such as limiting the use of maximum strength from the start, can raise the level of challenge. Finally, organising tournaments that group players according to their skills allows for more balanced matches. These options make the strength table accessible and entertaining for players of different skill levels, keeping the game interesting and challenging.
Is staff needed for this game?
It is advisable to have staff to supervise and run the game on a strength table, as they play key roles in ensuring a safe and fun experience. This staff takes care of the supervision, making sure the games are played fairly and preventing injuries. They are also responsible for explaining the rules of the game to participants, especially those who are new to the activity. In addition, they must carry out the maintenance of the table, making sure it is in good condition and making adjustments as needed during the event. If a tournamentis organised, the staff will manage and coordinate the match-ups, keeping a proper flow of games. Their role also includes encouraging interaction and maintaining the energy of the event, cheering on both players and the audience. Having trained staff not only improves the overall experience of the game, but also ensures a fun and safe environment for all participants.
Does it have any technical requirements?
- Flat, stable surface: It is essential that the strength table is set up in a level and firm place to prevent movement during play. An unstable surface can affect the accuracy of the duel and cause injuries to participants. Making sure the ground is free of obstacles and solid is fundamental for a safe and effective experience.
- Enough space: An adequate space is needed around the table so that players can move comfortably and so that the staff can supervise the game. This extra space allows spectators to enjoy the event without interfering with the games. It also makes it easier to manage the flow of players, especially at events with multiple simultaneous duels.
- Measurement system: Many strength tables have a measurement system to assess the force applied during the duel. It is crucial to check that this device is calibrated and working properly before each event. An accurate measurement system not only adds professionalism to the game, but also ensures that the results are fair and reliable.
- Adequate lighting: Good lighting is crucial so that players and spectators can see the duel and the measurements clearly. A lack of light can make it hard to see the results and reduce the excitement of the event. Making sure the area is well lit helps create a more attractive and safe environment.
- Regular maintenance: It is necessary to carry out periodic inspections to make sure all the components of the table are in good condition and pose no safety risks. This includes checking the measurement system, the table structure and any additional equipment. Proper maintenance not only extends the life of the strength table, but also ensures a positive experience for all participants.
How to book the game?
Booking the strength table
To book the table for themed events, a payment of 50% of the event must be made to block the day; at that moment it would be booked, and the remaining 50% is paid on the day of the event.
To make the payment we need to have all the information about the event and the tax details so that we can issue an invoice if one is required. The main details we need about the event are the following
- Setup time/day for the game table hire
- Event start time/day
- Name of the contact person on our arrival for the setup
- Phone number of the contact person on our arrival for the setup
- Exact address of the event
- Tax details in case an invoice is needed
Cancellation Policy
100% of the deposit will be refunded if the event is cancelled entirely due to force majeure. If it is not force majeure, the following points must be taken into account.
- The 50% amount will be kept for a future event, whether for the strength table or any other United Events product.
- If you decide to cancel the event on the same day and the operators have already loaded the product and started transporting it to the event venue, the deposit cannot be refunded as the work has already begun.
- If the product is cancelled for the event and we had already booked a hotel because the event is in Madrid or 3 hours away from Barcelona, we will have to charge at least the accommodation or any item we have purchased for that day that we cannot return or have to throw away.
- If you want to swap one product for another on the same day as the event, there is no problem as long as no graphics have been customised; in that case the price of the new graphics for the new product will have to be added.
Transport, Setup and Dismantling
The prices offered include installation of the game table and its transport as long as it is within 30km of Barcelona; beyond that distance, a per-kilometre supplement is charged for both the outward and return journey.
If the journey is more than 3 hours, the operators must stay one night in a hotel in the event city, so we would have to charge 1 night of accommodation and meal allowances for the day of transport and the following day for the return.
