What is Teqball and how is it played?
Teqball is a sport that has become very popular lately. It combines the excitement of football with the dynamics of table tennis, which makes it quite unique. Whether you are a beginner or already have experience, this game offers a fun challenge.
What makes it special?
One of the most interesting things about teqball is that it is played on a curved table. This shape not only makes it different but also adds an extra level of strategy. When hitting the ball, you have to pay attention to how it bounces and to the angles that form. This means you need good control, quick reflexes and a bit of tactics to win.
Technical specifications of Teqball
- Weight: With a total weight of approximately 145 kg, the table is quite sturdy. This weight contributes to the stability during play, which is crucial when players are energetically hitting the ball.
- Rebound system: The table is designed to offer an optimal rebound of the ball, which allows dynamic play. This means every touch counts, and players must pay attention to how the ball reacts on the surface.
- Transformer: Teqball generally works with a transformer from 220v to 120v, which allows it to adapt to different electrical setups. This is especially useful if you plan to use the table in several places.
- Portability: Many teqball models are designed with wheels, which makes transport and storageeasier. This is ideal if you plan to move it between different locations, such as parks, schools or events.
- Installation requirements: You only need a power socket to plug it in, which greatly simplifies the installation process. You can set it up and start playing in no time.
- Included accessories: The table generally comes with some accessories, such as specific balls for teqball. In some cases, nets or scoring systems can also be included to make games even more exciting.
How does the Teqball game work?
The teqball table is a curved table, essential to the dynamics of the game. This shape lets the ball bounce unpredictably, which adds a level of challenge. Players must be constantly on the move and anticipate the ball's trajectory, which improves their reaction ability.
The game can be enjoyed in several ways: you can play one on one or in pairs. This makes it versatile and suited to different groups. Players use any part of the body to touch the ball except the hands and arms, which adds a fun and challenging aspect to the game.
The teqball ball is similar to a football, although lighter and designed to make control easier. This lightness lets the ball stay in the air longer, ideal for the precise touches that characterise the game. Its design is optimised to work well with the surface of the curved table.
The rules are simple, which lets new players join in easily. The aim is to send the ball to the opponent's side in such a way that they cannot return it. Each player has a maximum of three touches to do so. Games can be played to a set number of points, such as 12 or 15, or in sets, which adds a strategic element.
The scoring is simple: you win a point each time the ball touches the opponent's area and cannot be returned. This focuses on the players' ability to place the ball strategically, making every match exciting and competitive.
Which audience or events is this game aimed at?
Sports events: Teqball has found its place in the world of sports competitions, with tournaments bringing together players of all levels, from amateurs to professionals. These events are not only an opportunity for competitors to show their talent, but also attract many fans and media, creating a great atmosphere. The mix of football and table tennis in teqball makes it an exciting spectacle both for those who play and for those who watch.
Interactive events: Interactive events are a great opportunity for people to try teqball. They can include workshops, exhibitions and friendly competitions, which means everyone, regardless of age or ability, can take part. It is a fun way to join groups and enjoy the sport. It also encourages social interaction, as participants can form teams or compete against each other, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
Fairs and open days: At sports fairs and open days, teqball can be one of the main attractions. Imagine teqball tables where attendees can try the game. This not only helps to raise awareness of teqball but also allows organisations to promote training programmes and related activities. In addition, including teqball at these events can attract a diverse audience, from families to young athletes looking for new experiences.
What is the difference between teqball with wheels and teqball without wheels?
Teqball with wheels and teqball without wheels have some important differences. The version with wheels is much easier to move, which makes it perfect for taking to outdoor events or competitions where you need to change location. However, this can make it a little less stable while you play, as the wheels can move. By contrast, teqball without wheels is made to stay in a fixed place, which gives it more stability and makes it more resistant during intense play. This type is ideal for places where it will be used permanently. So when choosing between the two, it depends on whether you prefer the flexibility of moving it or the stability of always having it in the same place.
How many players can play Teqball?
The teqball table offers flexibility in its game format, which makes it appealing to different types of players. It is usually played between two or four players.
When two playersplay, they compete head to head. Each one tries to return the ball to the other using any part of the body except the hands. This style of play is ideal if you enjoy an individual challenge. It lets you focus on your skills, improve your technique and play a more strategic game. The competition is direct, and every point won can be very exciting, as each player is constantly alert and on the move.
If you have friends and are looking for a more social experience, teqball can also be played in doublesformat. In this case, four players split into two teams of two. This format adds a different dynamic, as players must communicate and work with their partner. The strategy becomes key, and the game feels more interactive. It also brings more laughs and fun moments, making it an ideal option for get-togethers, friendly tournaments or simply having a good time.
Does a Teqball game need hosts?
The hosts are there to make everything easier, both for the audience and for the players. They take care of answering questions and providing information about the teams and the tournament format, making sure spectators feel well informed. At the same time, they support the players, ensuring they have everything they need, from the right equipment to details about the match schedule .
This all-round attention not only helps everyone feel welcome, but also creates a smoother and more enjoyableexperience. When both attendees and players feel looked after and valued, they are more likely to leave with a good impression and want to come back in the future.
How long does a Teqball match last?
A teqball match usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the game format and the number of sets. Matches are generally played as best of three or five sets, and each set is usually played to 12 or 15 points. The duration can vary depending on the pace of the game and the players' skill, but overall it is a sport that can be played quickly and dynamically. This makes matches intense and exciting, but also manageable in terms of time.
How long does it take to set up the Teqball table?
Setting up a standard teqball table (without wheels) usually takes about 1 hour. This time includes several steps: first, you need to find the right spot for the table. Then the parts have to be assembled and you must make sure everything is properly levelled and adjusted. It is important that everything is correctly assembled so that it is stable and safe to play on.
By contrast, teqball tables with wheels are very convenient because they make transport and setup much easier. The wheels let you move the table from one place to another without hassle, saving time when looking for the ideal spot. This is especially useful at events and competitions, where the space can change quickly.
However, although the wheels make moving the table easier, setup still requires some care. It is essential to check that the table is well levelled and that all the parts are in place. So, even if transport is faster, remember that taking the time for a proper setup is key to having everything ready and safe to play.
