What are virtual reality experiences for events?

Skate simulator experiences for events are interactive activities that let participants enjoy skateboarding in a unique and exciting way. These experiences use advanced technology to recreate the feeling of skating in virtual or semi-virtual environments, offering a safe and fun alternative to traditional skateboarding. With realistic graphics and physics simulations, attendees can experience the adrenaline of performing tricks and navigating different landscapes, such as skate parks and urban streets.

One of the most attractive features of these simulators is their interactivity. Participants can control a virtual skateboard, which lets them perform various stunts and take part in challenges. In addition, some simulators have specialised equipment, such as motion platforms or virtual skateboards, which increase immersion and the feeling of really being on a board. This makes the experiences a dynamic and engaging activity, ideal for attracting skate lovers and those looking for new forms of entertainment.

How many players can play simultaneously?

The number of players who can play at the same time on a skate simulator can vary depending on the design and configuration of the system. Here is a general breakdown:

  1. Single-player simulators: Many simulators are designed for one player at a time. These usually offer immersive experiences where the user controls their character and performs tricks.
  2. Multiplayer simulators: Some simulators allow several players to compete or cooperate at the same time. This can vary:
  • 2 to 4 players: Many systems allow several players to take part in competitions or challenges on the same platform.
  • Larger events: At fairs or competitions, it is possible to have multiple simulator stations where several players can play simultaneously on different screens, allowing a larger group to enjoy the experience.
  1. Online experiences: Some modern simulators allow online play, where players from different locations can compete or interact in a virtual environment.

If you want more players to be able to play at the party, more virtual reality machines would need to be hired; we have a total of up to 2 Skate simulators.

How long does set-up take?

Setting up virtual reality glasses hire depends on several aspects explained below, but for an event with suitable conditions it can take us between 30-60 minutes.

The aspects that can delay the installation are the following:

1.- Parking space for our vehicles suitable for loading and unloading.

Having a place where we do not have to worry about parking makes installation easier, as we will not have to look for one far from the event, or one where we need one of our technicians watching the vehicle while we unload the equipment. It is also important for the parking space to be as close as possible.

We normally arrive in large vans 240cm high, so we normally cannot access underground car parks.

2.- Route between the parking space and the event free of obstacles and stairs

The easier the route to the place where the Virtual Reality hire is to be installed, the less time we will have to spend on transport within the event or on finding solutions to any problems that prevent us from getting access.

What types of events is it fantastic to add a Skate simulator to?

Including a skate simulator is fantastic for a variety of events. Here are some types of events where its presence can make a difference:

1. Trade fairs: At trade fairs, a skate simulator can attract a large number of visitors to your stand. The interactivity and entertainment it offers can increase footfall and networking opportunities, helping to generate more leads and capture the attention of potential customers.

2. Music and culture festivals: These events usually have a festive and dynamic atmosphere. A skate simulator adds an element of fun and excitement, letting attendees enjoy a unique experience while they wait for their favourite performances.

3. Corporate events: At company events, such as team meetings or appreciation days, a simulator can foster cohesion among employees. Friendly competitions help build relationships and improve communication, creating a more collaborative and relaxed atmosphere.

4. Product launches: If a company is presenting a new product related to skateboarding or sport, a simulator can be the perfect tool to showcase it. Letting attendees try it out interactively can increase their interest and enthusiasm for the product.

5. Extreme sports competitions: At extreme sports events, a skate simulator fits the theme perfectly. It can offer attendees the chance to try tricks in a safe environment, complementing the live activities and adding an extra layer of entertainment.

6. Private parties and celebrations: For birthdays, themed parties or family events, a skate simulator can be a fun and memorable attraction. It keeps guests entertained and lets them enjoy an interactive experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

How much space do Virtual Reality events need?

Virtual reality party events need an obstacle-free space to place two 230cm-high tripods, which are the positioning stations, in two corners of the perimeter with a maximum distance of 5 metres.

We can immerse ourselves in virtual reality seated, standing or moving around; depending on the client's needs we will always choose one format or another, but all formats require this installation of perimeter stations.

In short, we would need 200cm x 150cm as a minimum for the set-up.

How long does a game last at a virtual reality event?

The average time a guest spends playing a virtual reality game at the event depends 100% on the game the client wants to put on the VR machines.

Some games can last hours and others just a few minutes; we always advise the client to find the configuration that best suits their needs.

Whichever game it is, it can always be adapted with our hostesses so that they work out the playing time per player.

We recommend setting up games with a duration of between 5 and 8 minutes.

Is a technician or hostess necessary at virtual reality events?

It is necessary and mandatory to have at least one hostess at a virtual reality event, since virtual reality glasses hire involves very delicate equipment and virtual reality games for events can also be complex, so a person who knows the game is needed to guide the guest so they get the most out of the experience.

We have staff used to virtual reality equipment hire, whom we can add to the quote price by the hour.
